At the beginning of the pandemic, IKEA Canada closed all their stores. This meant that thousands of FRAKTA shopping bags weren't being used. Coincidentally, the FRAKTA shopping bag and N95 masks that front line health care workers desperately needed were made from the same material - polypropylene.

So, our idea was to turn those bags that weren't being used into PPE for front line health care workers.
